History of Mezzojuso

Do you have family roots (or otherwise have personal interests) in the fascinating town of MEZZOJUSO in Sicily?

This unique and historic, tranquil little town with about 3200 inhabitants is located some 22 miles south of Palermo, the bustling capital city of Sicily, and only four miles east of the majestic Rocca Busambra mountain, the highest peak in all western Sicily.

Join us in mutually exploring and understanding and appreciating more deeply the fascinating historical, cultural, religious and genealogical aspects that comprise the heritage and traditions of Mezzojuso. Also of concern are Mezzojuso's relationships with the other Siculo-Arbëresh villages of Contessa Entellina, Palazzo Adriano, Piana degli Albanesi, Santa Cristina Gela, Campofelice di Fitalia, Sant'Angelo Muxara, Biancavilla, Bronte, and San Michele di Ganzeria.
